Accessibility Testing

From screen magnifiers to screen readers, you need to know how your site measures up against web accessibility standards. U.S. Section 508 and W3C WCAG guidelines, for example, offer specific rules or best practices. But these guidelines continue to evolve. Because of the wide range of accessibility measurements taken, accurate evaluations require the combination of leading-edge compliance software and experienced evaluators.

Mile7 assigns senior-level personnel to perform its accessibility evaluations. These experts are knowledgeable about accessibility design and regulatory issues, and know how to use and interpret the appropriate software tools.

We start with an automated review of the site, using leading-edge, industry-certified software. But that only tells part of the story. A site can be technically accessible, but still not be usable. That's why we follow with a human review of site by at least two accessibility experts. And finally, if desired, we can conduct usability testing with disabled participants.

In addition to performing accessibility evaluations, Mile7 can provide roundtable discussions with your in-house design, development and QA teams. And we can make Accessibility presentations targeted at your management, design or development teams to make sure there are no surprises and everyone's in the loop.
