Bezek Durst Seiser
Challenge
Architecture in Anchorage, Alaska is a competitive market, and Bezek Durst Seiser (BDS) desired a clean, simple website where the excellence of their design work could be showcased in a strong and competitive way.
Result
Due to a large supply of great photography, the site came together almost organically. Image-driven as it is, the site stands today as testimony to the achievements of this team of dedicated professionals.
Details
Interactive touches, such as the project finder and the people finder, allow access to a great depth of detail while staying within a clear navigational framework.
-
Simple home page features a rotating (on refresh) set of strong photographs from the BDS portfolio.
-
Interactive "Featured Projects" page provides a simple project finder (photo strip).
-
An individual project page, again, leads with a strong photograph and a textual description.
-
Each project is linked to a gallery, presented via lightbox.
-
In the Profile section, a people finder works in a similar way. Each display presents a strong professional portrait, a few lifestyle shots, and a brief bio.
-
All pages are treated with subject-oriented, original photography, each photo providing information as well as helping to set a strong visual tone.
